There are many examples of situations where a dream came true or was telling of a future event. Dreams can tell the future. But, it must be known that there are two ways about it.

Dreams can tell the future. But, it must be known that there are two ways about it. One is a precognitive method and the other is prophetic. Alot of people believe that the dreams they have are prophetic because some aspects of the dream appear to occur shortly after they have been dreamt. Precognitive dreams- These dreams are those that occur within 3 days to a year of having been dreamt. Most often within 3 days. Often, they concern those around the dreamer. They are about things occurring near, around or within the vicinity of the dreamer's surroundings.

Prophetic Dreams- These dreams are those which can take place during any period of time. Think "time" on this because decades can pass and the dream does not have to take place in the lifetime of the dreamer. These type of dreams do not concern the life of the dreamer, but a large geographic region. Not centralized, as in the case of the precog dream. These are never about the dreamer but are about the world, in general.
