Our auras are like magnets picking up vibrational energies that are floating around everywhere we go. It is important to cleanse our auras freeing them of foreign vibrations and negative energies.Regular aura cleansing is a great way to keep your energy field clear of past attachments and imbalances.

Aura Cleansing with Water

Water has wonderful aura cleansing and energy healing properties. You can either physically wash yourself with water or just visualise water washing over you and cleansing your energy - both are just as effective as each other. What makes this energy cleansing exercise so great is that you can do it every morning or night when you shower and it doesn't take any time out of your routine. So, while you are in the shower see the water coming out of the nozzle as beautiful, sparkling white light.

Watch as it flows over you, the light surrounding and penetrating every part of your being. Just imagining the water to be the Light in this way automatically makes it so - there's no special skills required. Everyone can do this! The whole time you are showering, pretend that the water is this sparkling white light, and say to yourself "This beautiful water is cleansing me and healing me. It transforms my entire body into light, inside and out. All of my fears and negativity are washed away." See your whole body glowing with light, including the area surrounding you.

Every cell of your body now glows with vibrant energy. Make it your intention to carry this Light with you for the rest of the day. The act of just physically washing yourself, even if you don't imagine the light, still helps to cleanse your energy field. So if you have had an unpleasant day that has left you feeling 'yuk' and drained, have a shower when you get home to cleanse the day from your energy field.

Waterfall Visualisation

The aura cleansing properties of water can also be accessed through visualisation, or imagination. Sit comfortably in a quiet place where you are assured of not being disturbed. Close your eyes and feel your body relax. Take a few deep, slow breaths in and out, and with each out breath feel all of the muscles in your body loosen. Pay special attention to your face, neck and shoulders.

Now, imagine yourself to be sitting under a waterfall. See the glistening water gently falling over you. Try and feel what it would really be like. How cool is the water on your skin? Smell the fresh air. Hear the water falling into the pool below. Stick your tongue out and taste the freshness of the water. Visualise the water filled with sparkling white light. See it penetrating your entire body, cleansing every cell as it washes through you.

If there is any fear, anger, hurt, pain, grief or sadness within you, see the beautiful sparkly water cleansing it out. Watch as any 'dirty' patches within your body are dissolved by the water and washed away. Continue with this process for as long as you wish, until you see yourself as completely clean and sparkling, inside and out. When you have finished, bring yourself back into the moment by taking a few deep breaths and wriggling your fingers and toes. Make it your intention to carry this Light with you for the rest of the day.

Salt Water Cleanse

Using salt water is an excellent (and enjoyable) way to give your aura a really good cleanout. Salt has wonderful healing properties for the body, so a soak or a swim in salt water is amazing for your aura. Our energy body is constantly readjusting itself to bring our energy back into harmony, but sometimes the negative energies we encounter can linger and accumulate over time. This is where a salt water bath can provide a wonderful way to cleanse your aura and increase your health and vitality. It's impossible to completely avoid all things that have a negative impact upon our auras, and our modern lifestyles are making it more difficult for our energy system to rebalance itself.

Therefore, regular aura cleansing is a good practice to adopt. There are many ways you can cleanse your aura, but a salt water bath is easy, relaxing and you can do it yourself. Our auras are not only affected by external energies, but also by our own thoughts and feelings. Thoughts and feelings are energy too, and so if you are in the habit of having a large number of unpleasant thoughts and emotions throughout the day, you can bet they're lowering your vitality and affecting your aura.

The smudging ritual is a Native American one, where smoke from dried white sage is used to cleanse the aura. Light the end of the stick and wait until the flame goes out. The stick will be left smouldering and producing smoke. Now waft the stick around your body, reaching up and down and front and back as far as you can (without doing yourself an injury!) The smoke will cleanse your energy as it penetrates your energy field. When you are done, dip the end of the stick into the soil outside to extinguish it. You can keep it and use it again on a regular basis.

What is energy body?

What is energy body?

Our body is energy. Emitting radiation, it also receives radiation. Our every physical and mental action requires a certain energy potential and redirection of energy by physical and psychological means. The circulation of blood, liquids, gases and electricity in the body are energy processes.
